Should Jews Take Jewish Names?

I found this post on FB: “Our sages teach us that every letter has a divine power that affects the creation, so much more so the power of words.
Therefore the soul of a Jew with a xtian /muslim name is in constant conflict, and those people should consider changing their names to holy ones in Hebrew, asap.”

Some of the responses were pretty good:

* What about most of Chazals names that were Greek? Or Mordechai and Esther who had Babylonian gods’ names, Marduk and Ishtar.

* And all the hakhamim from the middle east, Saadia Gaon, Abdullah Somekh.
