Indians are not a formidable people. About 60,000 British soldiers ruled the continent for decades.

In this forthcoming ESPN documentary on Indian cricket batsman Sachin Tendulkar, an Indian sports commentator says that “Tendulkar shows we can be the best in the world at something.”

When a country of 1.2 billion people has to grasp for something it is best at the world in, you know you are not dealing with a fearsome group.
