Joe* says: I have a theory as to why he did not pass the bar. The bar is mainly reading comprehension of the English language at a high level, based on a firm education in the language from infancy. So many foreigners cannot pass, it is due to their lack of reading ability. I think right wing orthodox day schools are tending to leave basic English reading by the wayside.
The LSAT is much more difficult. That should be pass fail and only smart lawyers such as myself would be permitted to ruin people’s lives.
The bar is much more about whether you know how to read English carefully and analyze matters in English.
I am sure he is pretty smart, he just should have gone to a better modern orthodox day school where they have the kids read.
