All my favorite pick-up joints — the library, Star Bucks, Pico and Robertson Blvds — are getting overrun with mentally ill homeless. It’s not a turn-on for me.
I was in Starbucks this evening and there was a homeless lady there drinking her coffee and getting counseling. She had nice legs and blonde hair but her face was weatherbeaten. I didn’t feel safe enough to bring her home, and I have low standards.
I support gentrification for Pico-Robertson. If you can’t stay clean and sane, then move on to where the black people live.
Chaim Amalek writes:
As satire (if that is what you had intended), this would be funnier if you had said “shvartzes” instead of “black people”. The former can be interpreted as hip Jewish self deprecation, whereas the latter sounds mean-spirited and too close to what many really think.
I am soon set to open the Amalek School of Social Satire, for bloggers of all political stripes. For $250, you can not do better.
