I don’t know if this is a trend or just the same old news, but I keep hearing about armed robberies in and around 90035, usually committed by young black men with guns. I wonder if many of these are gang initiations? Many times, the robbers are so stupid that they do not realize that Orthodox Jews don’t carry money on the Sabbath. The last crimes I heard about were committed on La Cienega Blvd near midnight and I believe the kids were caught.
I blame these crimes on the paucity of midnight basketball leagues.
