Sarah Palin Attracts A Crowd Of 60,000 In FL

Hugh Hewitt blogs:

The Palin effect continues even as various MSM voices argue that the governor’s impact on the race is diminishing.

These sorts of crowds cannot be produced by advance men or old party networks.  The Palin breakout continues, and for reasons that not ideological but because of rightly perceived shared values between Sarah Palin and millions of Americans.  Palin’s crowds are very similar in their origin to the original Obama enthusiasts who perceived him to be very different from the ordinary pol.  Unlike Obama, though, Palin is very much the anti-elitist and the authentic "new force" in Campaign 2008.

Team McCain has been blasted by various Manhattan-Beltway elites for limiting MSM access to the GOP’s vice presidential nominee.  In fact they are allowing her message to be absorbed without the skepticism of the old gatekeepers interposed between Palin and voters.  The enormous crowds validate the approach and at the same time further diminish the MSM’s old guard who just can’t seem to grasp that their disapproval just doesn’t matter to most of America.
