What Are Heterosexuals Allowed To Do If They Want To Keep Their Bar Straight?

I just watched episode 16 of season one of Cheers.

A former teammate of Sam’s hosts a party at the bar for his new book, in which he comes out.

The Cheers’ regulars become afraid the bar will turn gay.

So what are they allowed to do to keep Cheers straight?

Barney’s Beanery on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood used to hand out matchbooks that said “Fagots stay out” until 1983 when the gay West Hollywood City Council threatened to sue them.

What about guys who want to get together with guys and don’t want any women around? The only places you can do this now are traditional religious ones.

I’m a libertarian in these matters. Do what you want and exclude who you want. There should be freedom of assembly and freedom to exclude.
