I was talking the other day with two parents who sent kids to Shalhevet, the Modern Orthodox Los Angeles day school.
The parents complained that Shalhevet was unorganized and had low standards.
"What do you like about Shalhevet?" I challenged.
One parent couldn’t think of anything.
"Whenever I see the kids at Shalhevet, they seem happy," said the other parent.
"That’s because they can get away with everything," said the critic.
