President Obama Dumps On The Jewish State To A Muslim Audience

On his radio show today, Dennis Prager said: “President Obama did something so troubling yesterday that it needs to be addressed. The president was in the country in the world with the largest number of Muslims [and he criticized Israel for building housing in Jerusalem, Israel’s capitol city].”

Jerusalem is not a settlement.

The Indonesian government (like almost every Muslim country) prevents Israeli citizens from visiting its country.

The president wants America and himself to be loved in the world, particularly by Muslim countries.

He’s using the worst possible way to try to ingratiate himself with a Muslim audience — to crap on Israel. It is the easiest and the cheapest and the worst. All you do is feed the worst part of the Muslim world today — its hatred of Israel. If the Muslim world accepted a tiny Jewish state within its midst, it would be an enormous step forward for the Muslim world.

There aren’t many wonderful countries in the world. Israel is one of them. For us to have a president with deep ambivalence about Israel…

Whenever there is a war, it is between two police states or a police state and a free state. There are no wars between free states. Why would anybody take the side in the Middle East of a police state against a free state? All the rules change when it is the Jewish state.

All the president has to say was that there was a Jewish state thousands of years before Mohammed and it wants to live in peace with its neighbors.

Canada’s conservative prime minister, Stephen Harper, spoke out for Israel this week. But Jews will keep voting left because most Jews are leftist in their values rather than Jewish.

The last prime minister of Spain, a conservative, has started a world movement on behalf of Israel. The current prime minister of Spain, a leftist, hates Israel.

“When I was a kid, I was very scared of monster movies. My older brother said to me, ‘Dennis, you want to stop being scared of monster movies? Go and watch as many as you can.’ And I did. I took his advice. Gradually, monster movies became funny. I was inured. They were no longer monsters. They were a movie. I was seeing the make-up and the sound effects. Most things are not scary once you know them.”

Why Is Obama Talking about Jerusalem in Jakarta?

I don’t believe that the President is anti-Israel, but sometimes you do have to wonder. Why would he make a statement like this? Was he just concerned with pleasing his host? In the best case scenario, he still ends up feeding anti-Israel sentiment.
