ERSNews has learned that paparazzi in Los Angeles are accusing one of the major players in the world of celebrity news and gossip of trying to broker a deal with law enforcement to assist in identifying other paparazzophotographers who may be breaking the law.
The allegations stem from an incident outside Britney Spears Studio City, CA home during the recent paparazzi circus surrounding her eventual involuntary hospitalization on mental health issues at UCLA medical center.
Spears was transported to UCLA via the protection of a small army of LA cops in order to protect her from the onslaught of paparazzi encamped outside her home.
The incident, as described to ERS by multiple sources, took place when two photographers were spotted by other paparazzi outside Spears home training their cameras, not on Spears, or other targets, but the horde of celebrity photographers encamped outside. According to eyewitnesses, two paparazzi believed to be from TMZ in a red pick up truck were taking pictures of other paparazzi at the scene. In response, two X-17 photographers approached the other men and a heated exchange ensured. Videotape of the incident was reportedly taken.
The paparazzi and celebrities may not have much in common these days, but were they can agree, both seem to dislike having their picture taken, unless of course they give the A-OK and there’s money to be made!
