It was an inexplicible error in judgment. A quote that had no business being in the story. A quote loaded with inappropriate racial overtones. And yet, there it was at the end of a story in Saturday’s Capital Region section about an alleged rape on North Pearl Street in Albany: "That’s the thing with Albany, there’s always a ghetto nearby."
