Former "Knots Landing" star Joan Van Ark is living proof that you should never schedule a chemical peel moments before a red carpet event!
The 64-year-old, with tattoo-ish Liza brows and Sharpie eyeliner, was out at a theater event in L.A. on Saturday.
Her new look is in stark contrast to her CBS publicity photo (inset) from a few years ago. Damn!
Theda posts: Ten years ago I had lunch with Elaine Young, the famous “realtor to the stars.” She was 62 and looked exactly the way Joan now looks in that photo. Elaine told me she had just had silicone injected into her forehead and cheekbones. Her lips and jaw were so filled with chemicals that she could barely open her mouth. She looked as if she had embalming fluid injected into her face. Elaine died last year from excessive plastic surgery. The silicone, after rotting and shifting around inside her face, created a cancerous tumor. In the last few years of her life, she had more than 50 surgeries to correct the mistakes of plastic surgery. Meanwhile, the doctor who injected her with silicone more than 100 times committed suicide. Elaine had beautiful long blonde hair and a good figure for age 62. If it weren’t the for the plastic surgery addiction, she would still be alive, selling houses and having lunch at the Polo Lounge. Hope this fate doesn’t happen to Joan Van Ark.
