From BigHeadDC: "Much to the chagrin of several recently laid-off AOL staffers, former Wonkette editor Ken Layne is now freelancing a column called “Outrage!” for AOL.com. Several permanent AOL staffers have been replaced by temp workers, like Layne."
Contrary to the report that Layne was fired from Wonkette, Ken gave two months notice and helped with the transition.
Ken emails me about his AOL gig: "I’m just free-lancing a weekly column for a blog called Political Machine — one of many free-lance things I’m doing now. Am not a temp worker or any kind of employee, just a writer like always."
