Yisroel Pensack: The New York Times Reports On Senator’s Aid To An Aide

The New York Times is currently running this headline on its home page:  "Senator’s Aid After Affair Raises Ethics Flag".  The sentence on the home page under that headline says, "Experts say Senator John Ensign may have violated ethics laws by helping an aide get work after having an affair with his wife."

After figuring out that it was the senator’s help, or aid, to his aide that raised the flag rather than the aide himself standing at the flagpole, I was still wondering whether the aide might have been unethically rewarded for having an affair with the senator’s wife, or whether the senator himself had an affair with the aide’s wife.  I hope nobody involved got AIDS.

Fortunately, the article and headline here clarify everything.
