Including at<a href=\"http:\/\/pamelageller.com\/2016\/06\/explosive-new-twist-in-idaho-sex-assault-case-obama-appointed-prosecutor-threatens-community.html\/\"> the cost of the Bill of Rights<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> \tYou may have heard about the sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in Idaho by Muslim migrant children and a teenager. The facts are still not entirely clear. And the authorities are not helping matters any by making the defense of &#8220;refugees&#8221; into their priority.<\/p>\n<p> \tUnited States Attorney Wendy J. Olson put out a <a href=\"http:\/\/pamelageller.com\/2016\/06\/explosive-new-twist-in-idaho-sex-assault-case-obama-appointed-prosecutor-threatens-community.html\/\">press release warning, <\/a>\u201cthe spread of false information or inflammatory or threatening statements about the perpetrators or the crime itself reduces public safety and may violate federal law. We have seen time and again that the spread of falsehoods about refugees divides our communities. I urge all citizens and residents to allow Mr. Loebs and Chief Kingsbury and their teams to do their jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \tOlson seems to have made Muslim refugees into her priority.<\/p>\n<p>She issued a statement on \u2018building resilient communities\u201d on July 10, 2015, after meeting with law enforcement, the ACLU and other groups to discuss \u201canti-refugee\u201d and \u201canti-Muslim\u201d sentiments in Idaho and across the country that she deemed were \u201cseeking to divide communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All this is well outside the scope of what her responsibilities are meant to be, but we are increasingly seeing the politicization of officialdom in a very European sort of way. As<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/volokh-conspiracy\/wp\/2016\/06\/26\/chief-idaho-federal-prosecutor-warns-the-spread-of-false-information-or-inflammatory-or-threatening-statements-may-violate-federal-law\/\"> Eugene Volokh points out<\/a>: &#8220;The federal prosecutor surely knows how to speak carefully and precisely about what very limited sorts of speech she can prosecute. Yet she chose to equally threaten federal prosecution not just for the punishable true threats \u2014 or for the deliberate lies that may be punished under state but not federal law \u2014 but also for an unspecified range of \u201cinflammatory \u2026 statements about the perpetrators or the crime itself,\u201d as well as for \u201cthe spread of false information\u201d (with no limitation on the spread of deliberate lies).
