Goldberg writes<\/a>: For all the rancor in our national discourse over the past decade, it\u2019s hard to remember a moment so dominated by vitriol and mutual loathing as the aftermath of the Orlando shooting. It\u2019s almost as though we\u2019re angrier at each other than at the murderer.<br \/>\nIn part it\u2019s the toxic impact of Donald Trump. But he\u2019s merely sharpening the faultlines. Half of us, liberals, are outraged that America still doesn\u2019t face up to the gun problem. The other half, conservatives, are appalled that we don\u2019t look radical Islam square in the face and call it by its name. Those who think it\u2019s all about guns dismiss the very notion of radical Islam problem as a bigoted distraction. Those who think it\u2019s about radical Islam think the gun talk is just liberal whining.<br \/>\nActually, both explanations are true. Both problems \u2014 guns and Islamist radicalism \u2014 are real, urgent and maddeningly complicated. Each side has something to teach the other. But that\u2019s not how America works anymore. No, we line up with our teams and fire away at the opposition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J.J.
