By contrast, Rabbi Yosef Furman is popular as the head of YULA’s girls school.<\/p>\n
YULA is in the ideological middle of Orthodox day schools, with Shalhevet on its left and Yeshiva Gedola and Bais Yaakov on its right.<\/p>\n
At Shalhevet, about half the seniors claim not to be virgins while almost everyone at YULA claims virginity (and everyone at Yeshiva Gedola and Bais Yaakov). Almost all unmarried graduates of Yeshiva University also claim virginity.<\/p>\n
Unmarried Modern Orthodox Jewish men tend to screw around as much as they can (that’s my impression from my friends) while serious Orthodox Jews don’t do it outside of marriage.<\/p>\n
I remember walking home from shul one Friday evening when I ran into a Modern Orthodox friend.<\/p>\n
He was headed for dinner at Beth Am (on La Cienega and Olympic Blvd).<\/p>\n
