Many of the tweets fea\u00adture Holo\u00adcaust imagery. Yel\u00adlow Jew\u00adish stars with the word \u201cJude\u201d are super\u00adim\u00adposed on the pic\u00adtures of these jour\u00adnal\u00adists. There are also dis\u00adturb\u00ading images of con\u00adcen\u00adtra\u00adtion camps and ovens directed at the jour\u00adnal\u00adists, as well as car\u00adtoons depict\u00ading anti-Semitic stereotypes.<\/p>\n

While the actual iden\u00adtity of many of the peo\u00adple send\u00ading the offen\u00adsive tweets can\u2019t be deter\u00admined, at least two well-known neo-Nazis have bla\u00adtantly attacked Jew\u00adish jour\u00adnal\u00adists online. In a recent blog post, neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin<\/a> went after Weis\u00adman, a New York Times<\/em> reporter, who received an avalanche of anti-Semitic tweets after men\u00adtion\u00ading the anti-Semitic cam\u00adpaign against Ioffe. In an ear\u00adlier blog post, Anglin had also encour\u00adaged his fol\u00adlow\u00aders to troll Ioffe on Twit\u00adter after she wrote a pro\u00adfile of Mela\u00adnia Trump for GQ<\/em> magazine.\"jonathan<\/p>\n

Anglin derided Weis\u00adman for pub\u00adli\u00adciz\u00ading the hate\u00adful tweets directed at him. Anglin alleged that Jew\u00adish jour\u00adnal\u00adists like Weis\u00adman and Ioffe had pro\u00advoked the wrath of white suprema\u00adcists. But Anglin went fur\u00adther, prac\u00adti\u00adcally declar\u00ading that there is a war on with Jew\u00adish jour\u00adnal\u00adists. He wrote, \u201cYou\u2019ve all pro\u00advoked us. Another neo-Nazi, Andrew Auern\u00adheimer<\/a>\u2013also known as \u201cWeev\u201d\u2013tweeted at Weis\u00adman, \u201cGet used to it you f\u2014ing kike. You peo\u00adple will be made to pay for the vio\u00adlence and fraud you\u2019ve com\u00admit\u00adted against us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anglin and Auern\u00adheimer are both adept at pro\u00adpa\u00adganda. Anglin uses his web\u00adsite, The Daily Stormer, to attack Jew\u00adish jour\u00adnal\u00adists and other Jews and encour\u00adages his fol\u00adlow\u00aders to troll them online. Anglin him\u00adself was banned from Twit\u00adter after he ran a pro\u00adpa\u00adganda cam\u00adpaign with fake tweets about the Klan com\u00ading to the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Mis\u00adsouri fol\u00adlow\u00ading some racial inci\u00addents at the school. Auern\u00adheimer is a well-known hacker who this year sent fly\u00aders adver\u00adtis\u00ading The Daily Stormer<\/a> to dozens of print\u00aders located at uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties across the country. \"ben<\/p>\n

Both Anglin and Auern\u00adheimer are known fig\u00adures who have used social media to attack Jews, but there are legions of anony\u00admous Twit\u00adter users who are exploit\u00ading the Inter\u00adnet to carry out these anti-Semitic cam\u00adpaigns against Jew\u00adish jour\u00adnal\u00adists. While white suprema\u00adcists used to pro\u00admote their anti-Jewish pro\u00adpa\u00adganda on extrem\u00adist forums and ran\u00addom web\u00adsites, they are now able to main\u00adstream their hate on sites used by mil\u00adlions of peo\u00adple and eas\u00adily recruit oth\u00aders to join in their efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
