Arabs and Muslims are not &#8220;anti-Semitic&#8221; for not wanting a Jewish state in land they believe belongs to them. They are simply pursuing their group interests. Israelis are not anti-Arab for wanting all Palestinians to disappear, they are simply following their group interest.<\/p>\n<p>American whites who want all blacks gone from America are not &#8220;racist,&#8221; they are simply following their perception of their group interest. Blacks who hate whites and Jews are similarly following their group interests. <\/p>\n<p>All groups are competing for scarce resources. It would be weird if we didn&#8217;t at times hate each other.<\/p>\n<p>If you really believe in your religion, you are going to find other religions, at best, as weird and disturbing. You&#8217;ll likely regard them as demonic.  <\/p>\n<p><A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.algemeiner.com\/2016\/04\/13\/antisemitic-endorsements-on-current-affairs-website-elicit-outcry-from-major-jewish-groups\/#\">Algemeiner<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jewish groups are expressing outrage over an article in a well-known current-affairs publication promoting antisemitic websites as legitimate sources of information on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responding to the piece, published on Monday in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salon.com\/2016\/04\/11\/brutal_ugly_illegal_9_things_you_need_to_know_about_the_israeli_occupation_of_palestine\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salon<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, spokesmen from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) told <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Algemeiner<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Tuesday that the article serves as propaganda against Israel and continues to promote antisemitism. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIsrael is a country like others that has policies one could agree with and disagree with. It is surely not beyond legitimate criticism,\u201d said Kenneth Jacobson, deputy national director of the ADL. \u201cUnfortunately, the resources referenced here share one characteristic: the demonization of Israel &#8212; in effect blaming Israel entirely or almost entirely for the continuing conflict and the plight of the Palestinians.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the SWC, said the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salon<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> article is \u201ca hit piece on Israel and an excellent summation of the toxic anti-Israel Kool Aid which the author and many others have imbibed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">David Palumbo-Liu\u2019s article &#8212; \u201cBrutal, ugly &amp; illegal: 9 things you need to know about the Israeli occupation of Palestine\u201d &#8212; instructs readers to turn to known anti-Israel sites, such as <em>Mondoweiss<\/em>, Electronic Intifada and B\u2019Tselem, for explanations on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. \u201cDo not rely solely on the US mainstream media for your information,\u201d Palumbo-Liu, a professor of comparative literature at Stanford, wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Mondoweiss<\/em>, as <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.algemeiner.com\/2012\/07\/23\/salon-com-partners-with-purveyor-of-anti-semitic-material-mondoweiss\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">previously reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Algemeiner<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, has been described as a \u201cvirulent pusher of antisemitic tropes\u201d and a \u201cwebsite that sprouts antisemitism.\u201d The head of Electronic Intifada, wrote pro-Israel blogger <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/elderofziyon.blogspot.com\/2016\/04\/salon-writer-recommends-people-read.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elder of Ziyon<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201copenly supports and encourages terrorism against Jews.&#8221; The <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifamericansknew.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Americans Knew<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> website originally appeared on the list, but was later removed by the author. A special update in the article notes the removal: \u201cWhile the organization If Americans Knew, which was previously listed here, provides much useful information from reliable, neutral sources, I disagree with many of the public comments of its director. I have removed the original reference to prevent any confusion.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alison Weir, founder of If Americans Knew, is \u201cso toxic in her behavior&#8230;that other anti-Israel organizations are treating her like she has the plague,&#8221; Elder of Ziyon wrote. In a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/alisonweir.org\/journal\/2012\/3\/27\/an-analysis-on-the-attack-against-atzmon-by-roger-tucker.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blog post<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on her personal website, Weir accuses the \u201cZionists\u201d of colonizing Western democracies and \u201cturning them into obedient puppets.\u201d She argues that the term antisemitism is \u201cthe most powerful weapon in the tribal Jewish verbal armory\u201d used to gain sympathy by the Jewish race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAnyone who is interested in spreading anti-Israel propaganda would turn to these sources. Someone interested in balanced coverage would look elsewhere,\u201d said Jacobson. \u201cUnfortunately, Palumbo-Liu would have people seek out information only from sources that share his perspective, including those who demonize Israel and Zionism, such as Electronic Intifada and Mondoweiss. These sources propagate allegations of Israeli apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide and their chiefs are frequent speakers at anti-Israel programs and conferences across the United States.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the many accusations made against Israel in the article, Palumbo-Liu claims that Israel is killing Palestinians \u201cquickly\u201d and \u201cslowly,\u201d violating the human rights of Palestinians and engaging in the \u201conly continuous, ongoing project of colonization in the world.\u201d Cooper characterized the article as \u201cnasty propaganda thinly disguised as journalism.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The <i>Salon<\/i> article, to partially paraphrase its title, is brutal, ugly and dishonest. There is nothing \u2018neutral\u2019 about any of the groups and websites invoked by the author,\u201d said Cooper. \u201cThe readers are exposed to a Palestinian narrative sans any presentation of the counter-narrative based on 3,500 years of Jewish history and Jewish rights in the Holy Land. Deleting one source changes nothing.
