A facsimile of the actual proposal is reproduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/apps\/g\/page\/politics\/memo-explains-how-donald-trump-plans-to-pay-for-border-wall\/2007\/?tid=a_inl\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/apps\/g\/page\/politics\/memo-explains-how-donald-trump-plans-to-pay-for-border-wall\/2007\/?tid=a_inl', 'here']);\" >here<\/a>].<\/p>\n<p>The MSM, which more than any politicians really has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/articles\/turning-our-backs-its-time-for-patriots-to-really-break-with-the-main-stream-media\">emerged as the Official Opposition<\/a> and Enforcer of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/searchs?k=narrative&amp;submit=Find\">Narrative<\/a>, is reacting with its usual outrage and incredulity when confronted with a new and unwelcome idea\u2014just like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/articles\/children-of-the-angry-apes-salon-and-its-stale-smear\">famous apes<\/a> in Kubrick&#8217;s <em>2001: A Space Odyssey<\/em> trying to scare away the mysterious Monolith:<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9woRJ7-mD7Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But if Trump holds his ground, as he will, the MSM will eventually calm down and, like the <em>200<\/em>1 apes, start to look at the monolith more carefully, if reluctantly. We went through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/posts\/neocon-bigfoot-trump-right-about-stopping-muslim-immigration\">exactly this cycle<\/a> with Trump&#8217;s proposal to put a hold on Muslim immigration\u2014which, of course, turned out to be<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/posts\/rasmussen-poll-67-of-likely-gop-voters-still-want-trump-muslim-ban\"> immensely popular <\/a>with, you know, <em>Americans<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Normally, I ascribe this MSM cycle to stupidity and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Groupthink&amp;oldid=711230876\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Groupthink&amp;oldid=711230876', 'groupthink']);\" >groupthink<\/a>. But it happens that Israel has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/posts\/israel-to-block-illegal-immigrant-remittances-why-doesnt-america\">successfully<\/a> used the remittance weapon to get control of illegal immigration, as we have repeatedly documented, for example <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vdare.com\/posts\/israel-to-block-illegal-immigrant-remittances-why-doesnt-america\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet I can find no mention of this obvious parallel in current coverage.
