From the Chateau<\/a>: Here\u2019s a fun routine I like to pull on girls if I happen to have my camera or my phone\u2019s camera out for use. It\u2019s a Game tactic that works on the principle that no woman can resist the attention whoring allure of a lens. This is true whether the lens is pointed at her or at someone else.<\/p>\n

(Example of the latter. I passed by a photographer taking shots of a skinny hipster male with a shock of red hair. He looked so weird that I doubt he\u2019d catch many looks from women if there wasn\u2019t someone taking his picture. Girls who walked past the same photographer from the other direction would invariably glance over, slow down, and even completely stop to watch the proceedings. They were transfixed.)<\/p>\n

The tease: Lift your camera or phone up to your eye and aim it at the girl (or girls) you\u2019re with, as if you\u2019re planning to take her picture. As she readies for her close-up (\u201cwait, lemme fix my hair\u201d, \u201coh no, I\u2019m not in a good light\u201d, \u201cdon\u2019t please doooooooon\u2019t\u2026\u201d, \u201cyou\u2019re too close! everyone will see my pores\u201d) and preens and primps, you pause, lower the camera bit, frown, and hand-wave her to the side while saying \u201ccould you move over, I\u2019m trying to take a shot of that building\/flower\/car accident\/day-old dog shit behind you\u201d.<\/p>\n

The \u201cphotographer neg\u201d: instant deflation. There\u2019s nothing more seductively savage than taking a girl on an emotional roller-coaster of expectation. She expects to be the star of your show, fluffing herself up for her screen time. Instead, she\u2019s gently brushed aside for a plant or a stone which caught your eye. Now she\u2019ll feel the urge to work ten times harder to earn your attention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
