News<\/a>: Relatives of a 17-year-old are angry the teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner who police say was protecting her property.<\/p>\n

The sister of the teen who died identified him as Trevon Johnson. She said he was a student at D. A. Dorsey Technical College.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care if she have her gun license or any of that. That is way beyond the law\u2026 way beyond,\u201d said Johnson\u2019s cousin Nautika Harris. \u201cHe was not supposed to die like this. He had a future ahead of him. Trevon had goals\u2026 he was a funny guy, very big on education, loved learning.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Thursday, police say Johnson burglarized a home south of 79th Street near I-95 \u2014 just blocks away from where he lives. . . . . .<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to look at it from every child\u2019s point of view that was raised in the hood,\u201d said Harris. \u201cYou have to understand\u2026 how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.\u201d<\/p>\n

* This is hilarious. It should be spread across the Internet and archived multiple times before CBS realizes what\u2019s going on and takes it down. It reads exactly like something from the Onion but it isn\u2019t. I think somebody at CBS Miami got fed up with PC and decided to do a little truth-telling in a way that got under the radar. I hope they don\u2019t end up firing the one real reporter they have in-house.<\/p>\n
