Zimbabwean women, she said, do literally almost all the work.<\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend the book for anyone interested in Rhodesia\/Zimbabwe or Subsaharan Africa generally.<\/p>\n<p>* I would suggest that a lot of this stems from Black men being sort of a \u201ccanary in the coal mine\u201d; they are the last hired and first fired from traditional manual labor jobs.
