{"id":820,"date":"2007-09-01T20:26:38","date_gmt":"2007-09-02T03:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=820"},"modified":"2007-12-08T14:24:57","modified_gmt":"2007-12-08T21:12:57","slug":"dennis-prager-hosts-high-holiday-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=820","title":{"rendered":"Dennis Prager Hosts High Holiday Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacanadaonline.com\/articles\/2007\/08\/30\/sports\/lch-prager0830.txt\">By Timithie Gould:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Conservative radio personality and Jewish figurehead Dennis Prager recently relocated to the foothills to be closer to his Glendale studio, but radio isn&rsquo;t the only thing he plans on bringing to La Ca&ntilde;ada.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I will be conducting the High Holy Day ceremonies of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur in La Ca&ntilde;ada because no synagogue exists here right now,&rdquo; Prager said. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want to promise to start a new synagogue, but if people are up in numbers and are committed, I don&rsquo;t see why we shouldn&rsquo;t consider it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Prager has long been affiliated with the Jewish faith, having been raised in a Jewish home in Brooklyn, New York.<\/p>\n<p>In 1986, he co-authored a best-selling book, &ldquo;The Nine Questions People Ask About Judaism,&rdquo; that has become an essential go-to resource and introduction to the faith.<\/p>\n<p>Prager has been working on bringing the holy day ceremonies to the foothills since his move two months ago.
