* Your Nov. 22 editorial (\u201cSyrian refugees and terrorists are not the same\u201d) said that \u201cJews must have cringed at the memory of times in their history \u2026 when they were required to wear badges signifying their faith.\u201d<\/p>\n

A core teaching of Judaism is social justice, mutual aid and tolerance. This teaching in ingrained in the fabric of all Jews, whether religious or secular.<\/p>\n

The slogan \u201cNever Again\u201d means more than just the Holocaust. It means never again will we be silent in the face of injustice.<\/p>\n

As Albert Einstein, a secular Jew, stated in 1938, the bond that unites Jews is \u201cthe democratic ideal of social justice coupled with the ideal of mutual aid and tolerance among all men.\u201d<\/p>\n
