They ran it on page B-4. <\/strong>With a little box on B-1 featuring the riveting headline, &quot;Actor hospitalized.&quot; &#8230; Let&#8217;s see: A leading money-making actor, &quot;one of Hollywood&#8217;s top comedy stars,&quot; at the peak of his career, slits his wrists. &#8230; In Los Angeles. &#8230; <em>Where movies are not just gossip material&#8211;they are what cars are to Detroit: the big local industry. <\/em>Page B4! &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Once again, across the continent, three hours behind, the <em>New York Post<\/em> had plenty of time to put a much better story on its front page. &#8230; <strong>I have run out of ways of saying that the<em> LAT<\/em> is a pathetic stuffy, faux-newspaper run by respectable liberal twits and doomed to die!<\/strong> Janet Clayton, the paper&#8217;s respectable, life-sapping AME, should take an Annenberg School slot while she still can.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!--adsense--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mickey Kaus writes: I couldn&#8217;t believe&#8211;just a few days after their prospective new owner gave them a lecture on how they had to give customers the news the customers wanted&#8211;that the editors of the L.A.
