All my curves are gone now. I think its all lumps!

Its funny how "stupid" we all are in our youth.

Teens continually doubt themselves, saying "they’ll never like me", "I’m not worthy" and just dream from afar. We don’t realize what opportunities we miss until we are too far down another road. Although I always remembered you, I wasn’t even sure you would remember who I was.

On the other side, teens think nothing bad will ever happen when they see all the statistics. "Oh, I would never get in an accident", "I won’t get hurt". So, they do dangerous things and become the next statistic.

Kids take all the wrong risks. They should risk a chance on people: take a chance to meet new people, start new relationships, break the social molds. Not the physical risks of new land speed records in a pickup truck or high dives off of bridges.

I told my son "never do anything you’ll regret, but never regret what you didn’t do" Take every opportunity that presents itself just don’t do things you would be ashamed of. But, he still doesn’t talk to the girl he likes and does stupid paintball games. Kids!!

This makes we want to see that movie about Benjamin Button. If only we had the wisdom of age when we had the energy of youth…

I am sorry to hear that your energy is gone. CFS is tough and you have had it so long! 1988! And it takes time to recognize, so you probably suffered for a long time. I knew a lady with CFS and she had a difficult time because there aren’t really tangible "symptoms" like some other diseases. People understand a cough, a sore, a lump. Its hard to grasp so one doesn’t always have the same support structure that someone with a more concrete illness has. I hope the acupuncture is helping. I don’t think she ever had anything that made a difference, but that was some time ago and she didn’t try acupuncture.

I always expected you to be a writer. 50k doesn’t seem too bad. Not wealthy but, Hey, its more than the average teacher makes! 😛 I only know one professional writer, and her big book is a computer text book. All her royalties come from college, business and the translation of the book into other languages for their schools and businesses. She still has a day job to pay the bills. I get the impression its a pretty tough field.

I am glad you found your faith. Sometimes, the one we are born into isn’t the one we can follow. And it can be very hard to chose a new path. Our relationship with God is very personal and has to touch our hearts. Sometimes its a long hike in the woods to work our way to the correct path. I have found myself caught in that misty, gray forest. It feels like I can’t see God for the church.

Wow, I guess I better go look at an old picture. All my curves are gone now.
