I\u2019ve seen similar scenes unfold hundreds, perhaps thousands of times, and the same sex disparity in call-and-response emerges: Women are more apt to obey the commands of an annoying (if friendly) stranger than are men. This instinct is likely a property of women\u2019s greater predilection for group cohesion and agreeableness, probably mixed in with some latent desire to submit to a man who\u2019s large and in charge.<\/p>\n<p>One reason game works so well on women has to do with their greater degree of emotional manipulability. A man who understands that women are more impressionable creatures who will reflexively follow strong leadership is a man who gets laid.
