{"id":69792,"date":"2015-06-15T18:21:57","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T02:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=69792"},"modified":"2015-06-15T18:21:57","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T02:21:57","slug":"wt-121-murders-attributed-to-illegals-released-by-obama-administration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=69792","title":{"rendered":"WT: 121 murders attributed to illegals released by Obama administration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2015\/jun\/15\/121-murders-attributed-illegal-immigrants-released\/\">Washington Times<\/a>: More than 100 immigrants the Obama administration released back into the community went on to be charged with subsequent murders, according to government data released Monday that raises new questions about whether immigration authorities are doing enough to detail illegal immigrants awaiting deportation.<\/p>\n<p>In one case, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) admitted its agents didn\u2019t find out about an illegal immigrant\u2019s death threats and court injunctions against him \u2014 which should have put him back in detention \u2014 until after the man was accused of a new murder.<\/p>\n<p>That case, involving Apolinar Altamirano, is the latest instance of someone who\u2019d been through the Obama administration deportation system but had been released, only to go on to commit major crimes.<\/p>\n<p>ICE officials say they don\u2019t regularly notify local authorities when they release someone, and don\u2019t have a way of finding out from those authorities whether someone has gotten in trouble with the law again, so they didn\u2019t know whether Mr. Altamirano\u2019s $10,000 bond should have been revoked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cICE was not aware of the injunctions against Mr. Altamirano until after his January 22, 2015 arrest for first-degree murder, armed robbery and related offenses,\u201d the agency said in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican, and Sen.
