An IQ test is an excellent proxy for likelihood<\/a> to engage in criminal<\/a> behavior<\/a>. Higher IQ people are more likely to see the consequences<\/a> of their actions and they are more likely to feel empathy<\/a> for others (requires abstract thought) and to see the future more clearly.
