Of the 1.9 million college graduates ages 22 to 27 who were unemployed in 2013, 57,000 were black…

A new report from the Century Foundation found that regardless of education, age or job, blacks continue to be almost twice as likely as whites to be unemployed.

For many recent black graduates, the benefits of a college education haven’t yet lived up to the promise. “I’m just surprised I haven’t gotten any job,” said Garrick Ewers, 22, a business administration major who donned a cap and gown this spring at Morehouse College, a historically black men’s college in Atlanta.

A few thoughts:

* The article does not point out the differences between whites, latinos, orientals and Jews. I suspect that orientals are more likely to be employed than whites who are more likely to be employed than latinos who are more likely to be employed than blacks, matching their group’s average work ethic (as reflected in their academic performance and willingness to do homework, their family stability, their household wealth, etc).

* If you give blacks affirmative action to get into college and then intimidate professors into passing blacks through college, despite turning in inferior work, then employers have a rational reason to be suspicious of black college “graduates.”

* The average black American IQ is 85, the average latino American IQ is 90, the average white American IQ is 100, the average oriental American IQ is 105 and the average Ashkenazi American’s IQ is 107-110.
