Comment<\/a>: This interview is fascinating and revealing on so many levels. One “small” thing that stands out—and this is a compliment to Mr. Taylor—is the man’s humility. By that I mean he admits that he himself doesn’t particularly care to be pulled over by the police, nor deal with the TSA at airports, and that having to do so, he’s a little bit on the defense. He actually understands why blacks would feel this way; although, of course, he is nonetheless cooperative and keeps his feelings to himself.<\/p>\n

It also shows that given the situation, it’s not bad, per se, to feel a certain way; what is inexcusable is to act with incivility. And this is what separates the generality of Whites from Blacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
