Abadi then explains that the words of the Zohar are not intended for everyone,[14] and none of the rishonim write that it is forbidden to walk four amot before washing. He concludes by stating that he is inclined to rule \u2013 \u05d5\u05dc\u05d5\u05dc\u05d9 \u05d3\u05de\u05e1\u05ea\u05e4\u05d9\u05e0\u05d0 \u05d4\u05d9\u05d9\u05ea\u05d9 \u05d0\u05d5\u05de\u05e8 \u05dc\u05d4\u05dc\u05db\u05d4 \u05dc\u05de\u05e2\u05e9\u05d4 \u2013 that the entire practice of negel vasser is no longer relevant to us because ruah ra\u2019ah is no longer a concern.[15] Here again we see that the author of a responsum assumes that the issue he is discussing, of not walking four amot before hand washing, is based on the Zohar, when in fact the Zohar doesn\u2019t mention this at all.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Historian Marc B.
