Dennis Prager on his radio show<\/a>: "I have not felt this way about an American politician since Ronald Reagan.<\/p>\n

"To see the attacks on her is to understand fear. The fear of real. The make believe fear the real. Resent the real. Barack Obama is a nice guy but he’s not real. You don’t know him any better today than you did six months ago. You just know that he speaks well. Can you name a friend of his? Have we seen any? That’s a very odd thing. Barack Obama and Joe Biden went down in stature. The attacks [by Sarah Palin] were not personal. They were about their achievements."<\/p>\n

First thing: “Nice outfit. Really like the simple silver and black color scheme, the clean, elegant silhouette.”<\/p>\n

Karen goes: “Beautiful.”<\/p>\n

Thank G-d we’re not being sentenced to hideous, fashion-murdering pant suits.<\/p>\n

Governor Sarah Palin smiles. She twinkles. She’s got that whole Northern Lights thing about her.<\/p>\n

The Governor of Alaska beams energy.<\/p>\n

Even as she twists the knife into the chimera of BO’s candidacy, she’s all country, easy-going—but there’s steel beneath that rural charm.<\/p>\n

She introduces her family. Her strapping husband, Todd is a union member and a snow-machine champion. No, not snow-mobile. Snow machines<\/em> are, apparently, an entirely different beast.<\/p>\n

Who knew?<\/p>\n

Anyway, Todd’s like Sergeant Preston of the Yukon<\/a>, one of my fave shows from childhood.<\/p>\n

“You know why liberal woman hate her so much,” I say, “it’s because she got to where she is all by herself. Unlike Hillary, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, they all married powerful or rich men, and then hopped aboard for the upward ride.”<\/p>\n

“Yup, Governor Palin makes them look like dilettantes.”<\/p>\n

Governor Palin is talking about Trig, her Down syndrome son. I think I might start crying. One of our close friends in shul have a Down syndrome son, and he is just remarkable. Every time he’s called up for an aliyah to the Torah<\/a> my heart skips a beat.<\/p>\n

I say: “That’s another reason they hate Sarah, liberals don’t like to be reminded that their values favor murdering babies in the womb, and let’s face it, children with special needs are prime targets.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
