Most people won’t say things publicly for fear of ruffling feathers. They don’t want to lose relationships, social status, and income.<\/p>\n
I frequently get counseled to severely edit or remove blog posts because they might offend powerful people. Most of the time, I think the so-called powerful have more to fear from me than vice-versa. I’m the writer. My words can be read by the world. I have nothing to lose.<\/p>\n
