In his editor’s note in the August issue of Los Angeles magazine<\/a>, Editor Kit Rachlis writes that the Los Angeles Times has shown "…a disinterest in local politics."<\/p>\n

"Disinterest" means impartial. "Uninterest" means not interested in.<\/p>\n

It’s bad enough that the editor of this magazine doesn’t understand the English language, but it is a terrible indictment that his copy editors don’t know it either.<\/p>\n

No wonder that the illiterate Rachlis misses the L.A. Times. These chumps were made for each other.<\/p>\n
