By the end of this year, I’ll be a certified teacher of Alexander Technique<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why is this important to me? Well, I never graduated from college. I got sick<\/a> and had to drop out short of my undergraduate degree. This will be my first tertiary certificate. This is my equivalent of college. <\/p>\n

Alexander Technique (AT) will be an honorable way to earn a living. It’s a happy healthy tranquil line of work. It connects me to a great community of AT teachers. I can go anywhere in the world and connect with fellow AT teacher.<\/p>\n

AT gives me a legitimate way to teach people, to heal people, to touch people, to transform people. <\/p>\n

Teaching will help me bond with others. It creates opportunities to teach at a university, just like my dad did. <\/p>\n

AT is a cool thing to talk about with strangers. <\/p>\n

It ups my social status. I have jedi skills. <\/p>\n

AT improves my health. <\/p>\n

AT gives me a clear identity. <\/p>\n

AT opens up the world to me. More is possible now that I have my AT skills. I can get that MFA in Writing. AT allows me to do more of life and to do it easily and gracefully. <\/p>\n

AT gives me more energy. AT gives me tranquility. Much of my life, I’ve felt like I was one bad decision from disaster and that if I did not throttle my instincts, I would make that one bad decision that would preclude any further decisions. <\/p>\n

AT helps me think more clearly.<\/p>\n

AT gives me a health mission in life. <\/p>\n

AT makes me feel and look more alert. <\/p>\n

AT makes me look better. Younger, vibrant, in the moment. I drop my masks. My face becomes more expressive. <\/p>\n

AT makes me a better lover. <\/p>\n

AT smooths the rough edges of my personality. <\/p>\n

AT helps me recover from panic, fear and those scary out of control emotions.<\/p>\n

AT helps me escape from my compulsive thinking, talking and doing. <\/p>\n

Without AT, I tend to walk through life slumped down and defeated. With AT, I’m up and bouncy. I move like a winner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
