This New York Times article is nonsense<\/a>. Andrew Breitbart is not looking for legitimacy. He has legitimacy. He has millions of readers every day.<\/p>\n

So why does the New York Times publish such nonsense? Because they have the delusion that they are the ones who grant legitimacy and therefore people need to cater to them.<\/p>\n

All of my life I’ve had people saying to me, “Don’t you want to be taken seriously?”<\/p>\n

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve known about the power of words and known I have a facility with words, and therefore I don’t have to worry about being taken seriously.<\/p>\n

I remember a lot of talk in various industries I’ve covered about who would make me legitimate. Well, I made me legitimate.<\/p>\n

I remember people telling me in 2007 that the Jewish Journal cover story on me gave me legitimacy. Heck, I got a lot more legitimacy from having tens of thousands of readers and having millions of people watching me on 60 Minutes and Entertainment Tonight and publishing a widely-reviewed book.<\/p>\n

I’ve had more than 43,000 visits to my website today (thanks to the Anthony Weiner story), which is about 13 times my normal amount of 3,000 visits a day (a number that has held steady since the end of 2001).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
