I watched this movie the other night. “The Gallant Hours<\/a> is a 1960 American biopic docu-drama about Admiral William F. “Bull” Halsey and his efforts in fighting against Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto and the forces of Imperial Japan in the Guadalcanal campaign in World War II.”<\/p>\n

There’s a scene early in the movie where an aide to Yamamoto gets a message he thinks unimportant. When the message accidentally lands on the desk of the great admiral, he reads it and sees that it has great importance and he dispatches fighter planes to shoot down Halsey.<\/p>\n

That made me think of Dennis Prager. He sees significance in many things that I think are of no importance — such as the public cursing by Donald Trump this weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This attention to detail is what separates the great from the merely ambitious.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
