In my capacity as a moral leader, I have to counsel a lot of hurt and confused men and women dealing with the hard knocks that life delivers.<\/p>\n
Sometimes their pain comes from their rabbi being accused of molestation.<\/p>\n
"I don’t understand it," they will say. "I never saw the slightest evidence for these charges. Do you think people might be making things up?"<\/p>\n
With time and the right questions, I finally bring them to face their fear — that their former rabbi and teacher never chose them for molestation because they weren’t sexy enough.<\/p>\n
"Why? Was I not pretty enough? Did he not find me attractive?"<\/p>\n
It is important at these moments to not blame yourself.<\/p>\n
