Its Memorial day weekend.
\nSince Friday afternoon across America
\nroad blocks have been going up, grills
\nfired up and of course the American way
\nof celebrating\/vacationing has been put
\ninto play…Binge drinking !<\/p>\n

Being an American I am very familiar
\nwith the drinking to have fun concept.
\nBeing a chabadnik, I am very familiar
\nwith the getting shit faced concept.
\nAnd having Irish blood run through my
\nveins…well enough said. Any occasion
\nto hit the bottle is a good occasion to
\nme. I have no freaking idea what Memorial
\nday is about or for, but the booze is flowing
\nand I’m celebrating.<\/p>\n

I did what every American does on a Holiday
\nweekend. I mowed my yard, fired up my grill,
\nblared chasidish nigunim out of my house,
\nand drank like a starving fish.<\/p>\n

I needed a break from celebrating what ever
\nit is this day is about, so I went online
\nto check my emails and my favorite pointless
\nblogs, and I found myself in Luke Ford’s chat room.
\nHis name is really Levi but that’s besides the point.<\/p>\n

A six pack of Heineken a six pack of corona and
\na half a liter of tequila down and more than
\nthat waiting to go down and somehow I’m on the
\nphone with my moral leader, Luke Ford.
\nWe had a great conversation about…
\nI DON’T FUCKING KNOW WHAT !<\/p>\n

When I woke up this morning, in someone Else’s
\nbed, in a horrible looking outfit, I stumbled
\ndownstairs and tripped over half a dozen Wal-mart
\nbags full of misc bull shit that I don’t need but
\nthought I did when tequila and Wal-mart collided
\nyesterday. I made it to the bathroom and put some
\nneosporin on the cuts I got when I smashed out
\na window to run from the cops. And I wondered.
\nDid I really talk to Luke Ford yesterday or am
\nI imagining this ? I poured a double shot of
\ntequila over ice, hey its to early to drink it
\nstraight from the bottle, and I checked my call
\nlog. Yes I talked to Luke Ford yesterday.<\/p>\n

Luke was right there in the middle of my
\ncelebration, my party, my drunken binge.
\nI wonder if he knows. Hell I wonder what
\nwe talked about. Maybe Ill get stupid drunk
\ntoday and call him and ask him…
\nNa, not maybe. FOR SURE ! I just don’t know
\nif I’ll remember to call Levi.<\/p>\n

Happy Memorial day ! Lets celebrate a reason
\nto celebrate !<\/p>\n
