I just saw a great movie — Mongol. Video<\/a><\/p>\n

The tagline: "Greatness comes to those who take it."<\/p>\n

It’s an exciting manly movie but with love and children thrown in for girls.<\/p>\n

There’s even humor. Mongol humor does not get the respect it deserves.<\/p>\n

The scenery is stunning and the action breathtaking. The plot never stops. There’s never a dull moment.<\/p>\n

The screening was jammed but silent. Everybody was glued to what was happening on the screen.<\/p>\n

Saw this flick last night and I really loved it. As I understand it many Mongolians hate the film for historical inaccuracies and a heavily accented cast (the lead is from Japan) but if you are unfamiliar with the area and culture you’ll find a great story that brings a new light to a historical figure that a surprisingly large portion of the world reviles.<\/p>\n

The cinematography is gorgeous and the subtitle script is excellent.<\/p>\n

What really makes this film great are the performances and the action scenes.<\/p>\n

When he gains followers and unites Mongolia you understand why.<\/p>\n

Hopefully the film will get people to read more about the original man and discover the historical inaccuracies.<\/p>\n

Of course as historical accuracies go it much more accurate then Elizabeth: The Golden Age.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
