Retailers promote their "green" policies, encouraging consumers to shop, shop, shop. And yet, we never truly celebrate those brands that actually better the environment and have policies that better the workplace. Take, for instance, Spruce Industries (www.spruceindustries.com<\/a>), a business that realizes that how you clean a building is at the core of maintaining a safe and environmentally friendly atmosphere. Translation: no harsh chemicals, no toxic fumes, no questionable substances — just green cleaning supplies that get the job done! Most impressive is Spruce’s modesty; the company does not seek to exploit its achievements or bask in the glory of self-congratulation. Instead, Spruce makes a real a difference in how we approach vital issues of workplace safety and sound environmentalism.
