Skip says that women’s tennis and golf and softball appear closer to male skill level.<\/p>\n
I can’t believe how much MSM coverage the UConn women’s basketball team has for winning 89 straight games. That does not break the UCLA men’s record because there is no comparison in the level of basketball.<\/p>\n
At least a thousand high school boys basketball teams could beat UConn’s women’s team.<\/p>\n

I have said for decades that I have seen better games played in the YULA parking lot than I have in women’s college basketball games, and you can quote me on that.<\/p>\n However, I am a fan of UCLA women’s softball, and the skill level there is remarkable.<\/p>\n Trying to compare the UConn record to Wooden’s record is apples and oranges, and I say that not just because it is male vs. female, or because I am partial to UCLA. I would say the same thing had it been the UCLA men’s volleyball team or the UConn men’s lacrosse team that had won 89 straight. Who cares? You can’t measure one sport against another, and women’s hoops is a different sport than men’s hoops.
