I wasn&#8217;t surprised, because anybody that is even a little in touch with reality knows that people of color are badly under-represented in every field, especially literature&#8230;but it just sucks to see it ya know? Everywhere I turned I saw white families with their Whole Foods tote bags full of books, sipping their lemonade and introducing their children to the newest children&#8217;s book characters. I mean don&#8217;t get me wrong, white people ain&#8217;t all that bad, but i know Black and Brown people can read and write too, and we sure as hell love lemonade!
