I was looking up info regarding the SDA church and what happened in the 70&#8217;s  and 80&#8217;s.  The name Desmond Ford kept coming up. I&#8217;ve heard the name and had just some vague info about him. While researching today I see that he is your father.  You are a PK (preacher&#8217;s kid).    I&#8217;ve seen this happen over and over again with pastors kids. I am a 3rd generation SDA, I left the church and now I am back.  It&#8217;s great to be back home.  Believe me the church is full of hypocrites and is worst now than when I left.  But one thing for sure it is Gods remnant church.   Luke, Jesus is soon to come.  Just look around.  It might appear that you are successful  in man&#8217;s eye.  But what about God&#8217;s?
