Hey Luke–thanks for indulging my curiosity. Here’s my ten questions:<\/p>\n
1. What is the purpose of Judaism? (\u2026and if your answer is, \u201cto follow
\nthe Torah,\u201d then I want to know the purpose of that. That\u2019s my real
\nquestion.)<\/p>\n
2. Lust is a really interesting problem to me \u2013 and not just lust for
\ngirls, but lust for idols too! Why does it seem like life would be so
\nmuch better if I could just lust after, and consummate with, whatever
\ngirl or idol I want? Would this life be better without G-d?<\/p>\n
3. One Jesus question, okay: was Jesus a better kind of Jew? Or a worse kind?<\/p>\n
4. Why aren\u2019t there any more Jewish prophets?\u2014no more revelation?<\/p>\n
5. Was it a mistake to translate the Septuagint?<\/p>\n
6. Why have I had the impression that you have to have a Jewish mother to be Jewish?<\/p>\n
7. You\u2019ve heard jokes about Catholic guilt. Do Jews have guilt like
\nthat? How does the guilt go away, if, say, you lust after a pretty
\nshiksa? Or if you bang her?<\/p>\n
8. Is there some benefit to studying Torah and Talmud \u201ca little bit,\u201d
\nfrom an outsider\u2019s perspective? Or is it all or nothing?<\/p>\n
9. Are the 613 Mitzvot true because G-d said so, or would the be the
\nbest way to live even in a universe without G-d? In other words, is
\nit somehow \u201chealthy\u201d to not eat pork and observe a day of rest once a
\nweek?<\/p>\n
10.
