Extremely impolite? Or who are we to judge? That&#8217;s his culture.<\/p>\n<p>It seems to me like just desserts. You give sanctuary to evil people. How do you expect them to act?<\/p>\n<p>I love this paragraph in the Haaretz story:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nOne villager said the female activists bring a different &#8220;culture with them, western, too open. The young people, especially from the villages, aren\u2019t used to stay near other girls, they do not know their culture, certainly when it\u2019s a young woman staying with other women in a strange house. They misinterpret it.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It reminds me of the chilling novel <em><A HREF=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Disgrace_%28novel%29\">Disgrace<\/a><\/em> by J.M. Coetzee. The white protagonist&#8217;s daughter consents to repeated rape by wild young black men. She felt like she had it coming as a white person in racist South Africa and she didn&#8217;t want to leave her land.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Haaretz story is getting a lot of play in the blogosphere.
