As I make my rounds of Jewish singles events, I run into a lot of women who used to be hot. Many of them toyed with me and then dumped me.<\/p>\n
Now they’re not so hot and not so married.<\/p>\n
A few years ago, I met a nice Jewish girl at a Shabbat dinner. We hit it off. She gave me her phone number. We arranged to meet for dinner.<\/p>\n
Dinner went great.<\/p>\n
Afterwards, I sent her an email saying how much I enjoyed myself.<\/p>\n
I did not hear back.<\/p>\n
A year later, I ran into her at a friend’s birthday party.<\/p>\n
I made polite conversation. She was very friendly. She had two cocktails.<\/p>\n
Encouraged, I bought her a third.<\/p>\n
Then she asked me to drive her home.<\/p>\n
On the way, she went into great detail about this strippercize aerobics program she’s on.<\/p>\n
I got very excited.<\/p>\n
We went inside her place. I was all polite for a few minutes. She wanted to watch this reality show. As it was ending, I leaned over to kiss her.<\/p>\n
"My brother’s coming home any time," she said, blowing me off yet again.<\/p>\n
I still run into her during the agony of Jewish singles events.<\/p>\n
People who don’t know better try to fix us up.<\/p>\n
