She has a book of short stories coming out (&quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/One-More-Year-Sana-Krasikov\/dp\/0385524390\">One More Year<\/a>&quot;) and she&#8217;s easy on the eyes.<\/p>\n<p>After confessing my amazement that I had just attended a presentation (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lukeford.net\/archives\/updates\/080218d.htm\">video<\/a>) on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.masteragenda.com\/cs\/lla08\/ps\/530\">first Soviet-Jewish generation<\/a>, a Russian bloke confides in me that his interest too was not purely intellectual.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday night, for her last presentation on some fancy pants bit of literature, Sana persuades her four attendees to give her high-brow efforts the big skip and join her at Clive Lawton&#8217;s lecture on Jacob (amazing stuff!).<\/p>\n<p><!--adsense--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During LimmudLA, I become fascinated with the plight of Soviet Jewry.
